An International Travel Agency with their Head Office situated in the UK, has an opportunity for a Sales Development Representative to join their dynamic team based in Stellenbosch. Requirements:- Relevant Degree / Qualification in Marketing
- Experience working with the UK market / selling to other UK businesses
- Telesales experience with international market preferably UK
- Demonstrated success in a similar role
- Competency using a CRM
- Proven record of working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Use pro-active outbound approaches such as emails and calls to seek and generate quality new leads.
- Research client and partner/supplier accounts to establish key players and source warm lead opportunities.
- Contact potential new clients and repeat business customers to secure appointments and set prospect meetings for the Sales team to follow-up.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of client needs and provide in-depth handovers to the Sales team.
- Assess company’s current client-base among internal divisions and external target markets to find avenues of opportunity.
- Assess historic prospects to make contact with new or developing leads, updating records accordingly.
- Help create strategically developed target lists and prioritise top prospects.
- Monitor relevant social media platforms to spot trigger events and utilise such activity to promote/post interest for company’s’ services with direct contact follow-up.
- Maintain the CRM tool to expand the prospects list and keep records fully updated to be available and utilised across all Sales and BDM teams.
- Understand company’s service philosophy and company objectives to pursue compatible leads only.
- Have consistent awareness of company and industry developments to remain suitably and effectively knowledgeable.
- Research and be aware of Sales and Business Development methods to continually develop knowledge and skills.
- Support the Sales team with all Sales related activity, including to nurture potential client leads through to securing account wins.
- Escalate anything of significance, positive or negative, to the Sales and Commercial management teams.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time
General: The South Africa office operates between the hours of 8:00am and midnight, Monday to Sunday. The breakdown of your normal hours of work will be by agreement with your manager on a shift pattern covering 40 hours per week, 9 hours per day, Monday to Friday (which includes a 1 hour unpaid lunch break) on a rota basis.
Shift Patterns will be as follows: - SA Local Time
- 10.30am – 7.30pm (this is 9.30am – 6.30pm UK time) This will run until 26th October 2025, where we will revert to GMT (Greenwich Mean Time)
- 11.30am – 8.30pm (this is 9.30am – 6.30pm UK time) This will run from 27th October 2025, where we will revert to BST (British Summer Time)
