Helderberg Wine Route: Stellenbosch: My client, an esteemed 5-Star Guest Lodge situated in the heart of the Cape Winelands, has a vacancy for a Front Office Coordinator to join their Team (temporary role). Purpose of Role: Support the Reservations Manager in overseeing Front Office operations, ensuring a seamless guest experience, maintaining service excellence, and assisting with administrative tasks.Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Guest Relations & Service:
- Provide a warm welcome and professional check-in/check-out experience
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests
- Maintain guest profiles and ensure personalized service
- Operations & Administration:
- Perform daily reception float checks, banking signoffs, and house account reviews
- Conduct stock checks (stationery, guest supplies, keys, etc.)
- Oversee front office hygiene, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance
- Team Coordination & Support:
- Assist with training needs and team communication
- Ensure smooth shift handovers and operational updates
- Drive upselling culture and maintain service standards
- Experience in front office, hospitality, or customer service roles
- Strong administrative, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Apex, Opera, and reservation systems is an advantage
- Ability to problem-solve, multitask, and work under pressure
- High level of proficiency in the English language
