Helderberg Wine Route: Stellenbosch: My client, an esteemed 5-Star Guest Lodge situated in the heart of the Cape Winelands, has a vacancy for a Front Office Coordinator to join their Team (temporary role). If you have a passion for hospitality, a captivating personality and the drive to deliver only the best results and first-class service skills, then this is just the position for you. Purpose of Role: Support the Reservations Manager in overseeing Front Office operations, ensuring a seamless guest experience, maintaining service excellence, and assisting with administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Guest Relations & Service:
    • Provide a warm welcome and professional check-in/check-out experience
    • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests
    • Maintain guest profiles and ensure personalized service
  • Operations & Administration:
    • Perform daily reception float checks, banking signoffs, and house account reviews
    • Conduct stock checks (stationery, guest supplies, keys, etc.)
    • Oversee front office hygiene, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance
  • Team Coordination & Support:
    • Assist with training needs and team communication
    • Ensure smooth shift handovers and operational updates
    • Drive upselling culture and maintain service standards
Criteria:
  • Experience in front office, hospitality, or customer service roles
  • Strong administrative, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Apex, Opera, and reservation systems is an advantage
  • Ability to problem-solve, multitask, and work under pressure
  • High level of proficiency in the English language
