About the Role
A leading multi-disciplinary engineering and consultancy firm is seeking an experienced Engineering Geologist to join their team in Johannesburg, with project work across various sites. This role offers the opportunity to provide technical expertise in geological site investigations, data collection, hazard identification, and environmental compliance to ensure the success of civil infrastructure projects. You will play a critical role in the development, implementation, and monitoring of projects involving water, roads, stormwater, and sewer reticulation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Investigations & Data Collection: Conduct comprehensive site investigations, analyze subsurface conditions, and provide insights into ground stability and geological hazards.
Sample Analysis & Risk Identification: Collect, analyze, and interpret soil, rock, and water samples to identify potential hazards and ensure project compliance with geological standards.
Project & Construction Oversight: Provide expert advice on geotechnical considerations during project design and construction, ensuring adherence to environmental and safety regulations.
