A vacancy exists for a Theatre Manager. Job Duties:- The Hospital is seeking a dynamic and experienced Theatre Manager to oversee the theatre complex. This pivotal role involves managing and coordinating clinical practice and resources within two theatre complexes to achieve the strategic objectives of quality, growth, and people for both the Company and Hospital. Key responsibilities include ensuring efficient budgeting, cost control, and financial planning to optimize resource allocation and achieve financial targets
- Additionally, the Theatre Manager will lead, mentor and develop a high performing team, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring staff are motivated and aligned with the hospital's goals
- Furthermore, the Theatre Manager will oversee the procurement, maintenance, and utilization of medical equipment to ensure operational efficiency and high standards of patient care
- A strong business and clinical background are essential for this role, providing the expertise needed to drive excellence in both clinical outcomes and operational performance
- Degree/ Diploma in Nursing with approximately 5 years post basic and proven leadership and/ or people management experience within healthcare (including clinical competence in area of specialization)
- Diploma in Operating Theatre Nursing Science is essential
- A post graduate qualification in Management and Nursing Education would prove advantageous
- At least 5 years' experience as a qualified theatre registered nursed
- Current registration with South African Nursing Council
- Basic understanding of labour legislation, financial and change management principles
- Computer proficiency (MS Office)
- Driver's license and own transport
