Our client, a growing engineering firm, with offices in Somerset West, is looking to appoint a Junior Entry-Level Civil Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or engineers with minimal experience who are eager to learn and grow within the structural engineering field.In this collaborative role, you'll have the chance to work alongside experienced professionals, learn from their expertise, and contribute to projects from concept to completion. You'll be supported as you develop your skills and gain hands-on experience in structural design and detailing. Duties and Responsibilities:- Assist in the structural design and detailing of various structures (Steel, Concrete, Masonry).
- Help create technical drawings and project specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, specialist engineers, clients, and contractors.
- Attend site inspections of structural elements under supervision.
- Support senior engineers and learn to take on increasing responsibility in project delivery.
- A relevant qualification including diploma, higher diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in structural engineering (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar computer-aided design software; knowledge of Revit is a plus.
- Some exposure to BIM design software (such as Prokon) would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
