As the Business Integration Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless alignment of business strategies, operational efficiencies, and project execution within the COID and Group Operations Business.

THE JOB AT A GLANCE



As the Business Integration Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless alignment of business strategies, operational efficiencies, and project execution within the COID and Group Operations Business. In this role, you will work closely with various business units to integrate strategy into operations, improve cross-functional collaboration, and manage key strategic business projects. You will support the Head of Strategy and Business Integration in driving organisational effectiveness, ensuring that all business functions contribute cohesively to the overall strategy of COID.




WHAT WILL YOU DO?



Business Strategy Translation and Alignment



  • Conduct on-going environmental scanning to affect strategic positioning and implement strategies
  • Support the development of key business strategies in response to industry and competitor development
  • Support the strategic planning process to ensure that is timely, focused, and value adding
  • Support the Head of Strategy and Business Integration in translating and operationalising the COID and Group Operations strategy
  • Translate the C&GO strategy into business model, portfolios and initiatives
  • Ensure that the strategy planning process highlights existing business issues, by ensuring that these issues are thoughtfully addressed through the defined plans
  • Review, manage, and analyse existing business strategies in order to provide advice to C&GO Exco and senior management and ensure alignment with the C&GO’s overall strategy
  • Assist divisional managers in driving and optimising the improvement of key value levers that will give the business a sustainable competitive advantage
  • Support departmental and strategic initiatives strategy development
  • Develop functional/ project strategies
  • Facilitate the execution of the strategy by working collaboratively with the other Team members and ensuring that the strategy is communicated, clearly and easily understood by all internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive the alignment of business functions with strategic priorities
  • Drive innovation and explore new business opportunities.

Cross-functional Business Integration



  • Work with different business units to ensure coordinated execution of business priorities
  • Identify and address inefficiencies that impact business integration
  • Support change management initiatives to embed strategic transformation into business operations
  • Ensure business functions operate efficiently to achieve strategic goals
  • Provide integrated business plans, risks, budgets and requirements
  • Foster collaboration between different departments to enhance service delivery and efficiency
  • Contribute towards creating a climate of optimal team performance
  • Collaborate with operating units and functional areas.

Strategic Portfolio Management



  • Ensure alignment between strategic project execution and business strategy
  • Establish and review key strategic priorities and translate them into actionable and quantitative plans
  • Assist in the development of integrated business plans to achieve organisational objectives
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage project risks proactively
  • Monitor and report on the execution of strategy, ensuring strategic initiatives are progressing as planned
  • Ensure efficient and effective reporting strategy implementation outcomes
  • Ensure that appropriate solutions are effectively implemented.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication



  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaboration and decision-making
  • Provide insights and updates to senior management on business integration efforts
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and strategy documents for executive teams.

Requirements:

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE?



  • NQF Level 8: Honours Degree
  • NQF Level 9: Masters Degree (advantageous)
  • 8 to 10 years’ experience in strategic business integration, management consulting or operational strategy execution
  • Excellent understanding of strategic planning and execution processes
  • Ability to connect operational execution with long-term strategic objectives
  • Analytical skills to assess business challenges and implement solutions effectively
  • Strong ability to plan, execute, and track key business projects
  • Ability to influence and align diverse teams towards common objectives
  • Identifying and implementing business efficiencies to drive continuous improvement
  • Ability to support and drive change initiatives across business functions
  • Experience in project execution teams.
