My client,based in Somerset West, who specializes in the manufacture of Food Products, is seeking to employ a Receiving Clerk to join their team. Receiving Clerk Core Functions:- Receive incoming stock (including raw ingredients, (perishables & non-perishables), packaging materials, dry ice, etc.)
- Accurately verify quantities and condition of goods against supplier delivery notes and internal purchase orders
- Maintain proper documentation and file records meticulously
- Label and move stock into designated storage areas according to our systems
- Flag and escalate discrepancies or quality concerns immediately
Stock Control / Inventory Support:
- Conduct weekly and monthly stock takes across both frozen and dry goods
- Work with operations and finance to ensure accurate stock capturing
- Identify variances and assist with root-cause investigations
- Keep stock areas clean, orderly and audit-ready at all times
- Support the Frozen Food Business Manager in preparing insulated shipping containers
- Ensure correct dry ice quantities are packed per shipping requirements
- Follow strict SOPs on timing, temperature control and labelling for frozen orders
- Help stage outgoing orders accurately and on schedule for courier pickups
- Rock-solid reliability — on time, every time
- High attention to detail — counting errors cost us money and reputation
- Process-driven mindset — no shortcuts, follow the method

- Physically capable — role includes lifting cartons, moving stock and working in cold environments
- Computer Literate - Must be proficient in computer tools like spreadsheets and data capturing
- Prior experience in food manufacturing, warehouse, or receiving roles
- Exposure to HACCP, FIFO stock management, or cold chain logistics
