Junior Farm Manager

Our client, a farm situated in the sought after Hemel-en-Aarde Valley (Hermanus), is looking for an energetic individual to join their team as Junior Farm Manager.

The ideal candidate can work independently, is self-motivated, can perform under pressure, and will need to show initiative and leadership qualities that will enhance and help grow the farming activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the full farming function, which includes the following: *Management of all production processes (pruning, thinning, irrigation, fertilization, chemical crop protection, harvesting, etc.) *Personnel management *Record keeping and compilation of production reports *Management of the production budget *Management of operating costs *Quality management *Basic maintenance management *all other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Agriculture;
• Approximately 3-5 years’ relevant experience in apple/pear production, including irrigation knowledge and experience;
• Basic farm/estate maintenance and mechanical knowledge;
• Excellent communication skills (Afrikaans and English);
• Strong computer literacy (MS Office);
• Valid driver's license.

Commencement date: 1 August 2025.
