CLERK CONTROL ROOM (Grading B2)
Job specification
- Grade 11 or equivalent qualification
- Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages
- Computer literacy in MS Excel is essential
- Interpersonal communication skills are required and essential
- Must be able to take instructions and communicate over a two-way radio
- Must be willing to work shifts
- Must be able to work under pressure
- 1-2 years’ experience in an industrialized environment would be advantageous
- South African Citizenship
- Clear Criminal Record
Responsibilities
- Working a cycle of shifts
- Sending out hourly reports from the AMMS / ARM system
- Booking of dump truck loads from underground and internal tramming
- Book checklists out at the start of the shift and checklists back at the end of the shift
- Filing of documentation
- Monitor and communicate UG water readings
- Reporting of accidents and incidents to the relevant authorities
- Contact relevant standby employees for call-outs during breakdowns and when needed
- Manage and maintain in area of responsibility following mine standards, procedures and practices
- Adhere to MHSA standards & Gold1’s safety motto: “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely”
