CLERK CONTROL ROOM (Grading B2)

Job specification

• Grade 11 or equivalent qualification
• Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages
• Computer literacy in MS Excel is essential
• Interpersonal communication skills are required and essential
• Must be able to take instructions and communicate over a two-way radio
• Must be willing to work shifts
• Must be able to work under pressure
• 1-2 years’ experience in an industrialized environment would be advantageous
• South African Citizenship
• Clear Criminal Record

Responsibilities

• Working a cycle of shifts
• Sending out hourly reports from the AMMS / ARM system
• Booking of dump truck loads from underground and internal tramming
• Book checklists out at the start of the shift and checklists back at the end of the shift
• Filing of documentation
• Monitor and communicate UG water readings
• Reporting of accidents and incidents to the relevant authorities
• Contact relevant standby employees for call-outs during breakdowns and when needed
• Manage and maintain in area of responsibility following mine standards, procedures and practices
• Adhere to MHSA standards & Gold1’s safety motto: “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely”
