Description:
uniWines Vineyards, located in the beautiful Breedekloof wine region , has a position available for a dynamic and energetic Senior Winemaker to join their team. The ability to function well in a team and work well in a fast-paced environment is essential to the role.
This position will be based at uniWines Nuwehoop Cellar and will focus on the production of white wine.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Winemaking - White Wine and will be responsible for: *the entire winemaking process *blending and stabilising wine *ensuring cellar hygiene is compliant with food safety, quality control, and H&S systems *inventory management and cellar administration *cellar staff management *liaison with suppliers *marketing *and all other duties related to the position.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• A relevant qualification in Viticulture and Oenology;
• Minimum seven years experience in a similar position;
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office, WineMS);
• Valid driver's license.
Commencement date: 1 June 2025.
