My client in property is looking for a Project Manager.You will be responsible for the following:
Project Planning and Coordination: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of fit-out, repairs & maintenance and construction projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, budget constraints, and timelines. Budget and cash flow preparation in the feasibility stage of a project, together with the Development Manager. Drive local & statutory approvals pre- and post- projects. Quantity Surveying: Oversee all quantity surveying activities, including cost estimation, cost control, tendering, and procurement, to optimize project financial performance. Contract Management: Manage all contract negotiations, administration, and compliance throughout the project, including principal contractor, subcontractor agreements and professional appointments. Risk Management: Identify, assess, report on and mitigate all project risks, ensuring that proactive measures are in place to address potential challenges and deviations. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, contractors, subcontractors, other vendors, and internal teams and provide regular project updates, timeous addressing of concerns, and resolve issues promptly. Maintain client interface, cost control & reporting of fit-outs as required. Quality Assurance: Implement quality inspections and control measures to ensure that fit-out, repairs, maintenance and construction activities adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company specifications. Resource Allocation: Optimize resource allocation, including labour, materials, and equipment, to maximize project efficiency and productivity. Guide the value engineering process and design development with project professionals. Examine and influence design details & specifications to optimize time & value without detracting from quality. Authorize all disbursements necessary for the project delivery.
What Do You Need?:
Bachelors Degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience (minimum of 15 years) in project management and a track record of delivering complex projects within the construction industry, with a focus on quantity surveying. Professional certification preferred. Strong technical knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methodologies. Proficiency in project management software (e.g, Microsoft Project) and MS Office Suite.
