Financial and Compliance Accountant

Our client, a distinguished organisation within the Telecommunications sector, is seeking a Finance and Compliance Accountant to join their team. This role requires a highly skilled financial professional with a strong foundation in IFRS, compliance, taxation, and financial reporting, as well as experience in handling large financial volumes and general ledger management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with IFRS and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and review financial reports in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Oversee taxation, VAT submissions, and related compliance matters .
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial accuracy.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee financial transactions.
• Assist with internal and external audit processes, ensuring adherence to compliance standards.

Key Requirements:

• A completed Honours Degree in Accounting .
• Successfully completed SAICA Articles .
• 3-4 years of financial experience within a relevant industry.
• Prior audit exposure in ICT or Telecommunications is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with a meticulous approach to financial accuracy and compliance.
