Position Title: Bookkeeper

Location: Athlone Industria(CPT)


Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations

• Manage daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy on all accounts.
• Accounts Payable:Process invoices,reconcile statements and manage payments.
• Accounts Receivable: Issue invoices, track payments and address outstanding balances.
• Income Statement Preparation: Accurately record transactions and maintain alignment with company objectives.
• Bank and Ledger Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations to ensure accuracy.Accounting Systems Management
  
  • Maintain accurate financial records using Xero or similar software.
  • Monitor and update systems to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
    Project Finance Support
    
    • Collaborate with project teams to prepare and analyze financial data for Work-In-Progress reports.
    • Assist with project cost tracking and ensure its in alignment with financial goals.Pattern Recognition and Financial Integrity
      
      • Identify any discrepancies in financial data and resolve issues proactively.
      • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal standards.
        Financial Reporting
        
        • Produce detailed and accurate financial reports, including income statements.
        • Contribute to budget preparations and variance analysis.
          Qualifications and skills
          
          • Proven experience in bookkeeping or financial management.
          • Ideally within a project -focused or renewable energy environment.
          • Proficiency in Xero or similar (Pastel, QuickBooks)
          • Strong understanding of financial processes.
          • Exceptional attention to detail to identify and resolve errors.
          • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
          • Familiarity with Tax compliance, audit processes and South African financial regulations.
          • Ability to work collaboratively with project managers and other teams.Benefits
