Purpose of the Role:
A seasoned tax specialist is required to provide expert tax advisory services, ensuring optimal tax structuring for equity and loan deals, cross-border investments, and corporate restructurings. This role is critical in advising on tax efficiency, compliance, and risk mitigation for complex financial transactions while engaging with senior stakeholders and external tax advisors.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic tax advisory on equity and loan deal structuring within the organization.
Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies for cross-border investments, particularly in Africa.
Advise on corporate restructuring, transfer pricing, and tax incentives to maximize financial benefits.
Evaluate the impact of new projects and financing structures on the organization’s tax position.
Draft high-level tax strategy proposals and discussion papers for executive and committee review.
Collaborate with external tax advisors to obtain expert legal opinions on complex tax matters.
Monitor legislative changes, tax court rulings, and policy updates, advising on implications.
Guide internal teams on tax-efficient deal structuring, compliance, and risk mitigation.
Engage with external auditors and regulatory bodies for tax-related reporting and audits.
