Description:

Managing the car park and Tempest Car Hire, including fleet management, quality of vehicles and car park, post rental administration, staff management, overhead costs and managing vehicle damage and retrieval of costs iro vehicle damage.

Job Role:

Job Outputs

• Minimise vehicles standing too long.
• Weekly fleet check Availability of cars at branch and correct mix.
• Vehicle allocations to optimise utilisation.
• Regular interaction with internal service providers (dispatch, fleet, claims & workshop) to ensure potential shortfalls are identified timeously.
• Monitor, measure and train staff to identify damages to achieve highest possible amount of signed motor incident reports.
• Managing damages missed on return or disputed by the customer daily.
• Meet with Claims Management weekly to discuss damages and trends.
• Analyse monthly damages and related cost to identify and eliminate trends.
• Clear reports from Head Office claims timeously within 2 working days.
• Weekly reporting of nil excess claims over R2k.
• Addressing expired licenses and service due vehicles to depot in cooperation with depot manager (VSR01/VER09).
• Daily spot checks on vehicle and car park and return office cleanliness as well as damages on clean vehicles.
• Ensuring that undocumented damage found in the car park is allocated to the correct source (outsourced staff or customer).
• Addressing of any technical faults occurring in the car park (signage, lighting, road infrastructure affecting vehicle flow).
• Managing lost property procedure.
• Quality and fuel queries.
• Billing queries.
• Personal interaction with customers.
• Assessing and signing of motor incident reports and daily meeting with staff to ensure unsigned reports are processed correctly and finalised timeously.
• Weekly rental statistics review / analysis and reporting to airport managers.
• Manage staff and enforce companys disciplinary code.
• Coaching and mentoring of staff (including outsourced staff and supervisors).
• Managing time keeping of staff on attendance registers, overtime calculations and ESS.
• Weekly staff rosters.
• Liaising with management of companies providing outsourced labor for changes and addressing inefficiencies.
• Overtime to be monitored and managed.
• Manage outsourced drivers and cleaners overheads.

  Minimum Experience:

  (Mid-size - Large branch) 5-8 years relevant experience

  Basic knowledge of vehicles on fleet, car parts and mechanical understanding for customer feedback and assistance.
