Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Wine Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for wine, strong sales skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients in the wine and hospitality industry. Key Responsibilities:Sales Development and Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationship with key clients including restaurants, wine, retailers, and distributors
- Identify and target new sales opportunities to expand market share
- Build and maintain long-term business relationship with decision-makers within client accounts
- Promote and sell the company's range of wines and related products, ensuring clients understand product features and benefits
- Educate clients about the wines, the wine-making process, and food pairings, showcasing the company's expertise and high-quality offerings
- Offer samples and wine tastings to clients to encourage purchases and improve brand exposure
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and KPIs
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and opportunities using CRM tools
- Prepare and present regular sales reports to management, detailing progress, challenges, and sales performance
- Provide exceptional customer service, resolving any issues or concerns promptly
- Assist clients with wine selection, ordering, delivery scheduling, and any after-sales support
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and competitor activity
- Share relevant market insights with the team to help adapt strategies and stay ahead of the competition
- Represent the company at wine tastings, trade shows, and industry events
- Help organize and participate in promotional events and campaigns aimed at increasing brand awareness and product visibility
Experience
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the food, beverage, or hospitality industry
- Experience in wine sales is a plus
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs
- A solid understanding of wines, wine regions, and the wine industry
- WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust certification or similar qualifications but not mandatory
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Self-motivated, result-driven, and goal-orientated with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to understand and meet customer needs while providing exceptional service
- Familiarity with CRM software, Microsoft Office, and general sales tools
- Comfortable with reporting and tracking sales performance
- A clean driving record and the ability to travel locally to meet clients, attend events, and deliver products as needed
