The opportunity calls for a dynamic industry leader to unlock the full potential of our clients brand with its proven record of delivering expertise through its experts, people talent and well-established delivery systems. The candidate must have a demonstrated record of having delivered superior performance through sustainable business practices including:

  • The ability to develop and implement the company vision and strategy;
  • Driving business development, market expansion efforts, and country growth across all sectors, managing stakeholder relationships;
  • Driving operational, financial and safety performance;
  • A deep understanding of market forces and how to adapt the organisation’s tactics, processes and plans to ensure sustainability, especially during difficult market conditions;
  • Ensuring that clients remain at the centre of the products and solutions being provided by the company.

Duties

The CEO will be responsible for the strategic, operational and commercial leadership. Different functional report lines – London Group, local board, empowerment shareholders.

Core Function

  • In consultation with the Board, to refine and improve on the strategic goals and objectives;
  • Give direction and leadership toward the achievement of the Group philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives; and
  • With guidance from the Board, enable the Board to fulfil its governance function;
  • Day-to-day management including operational, technical delivery, commercial and financial management while overseeing the sustainable growth of the business;
  • Oversee the management of the subsidiaries in consultation with the Board of Directors of each of the subsidiaries.

Qualification and Experience Requirements

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree, related qualification from a recognised university;
  • Further studies in business management (an MBA would be an added advantage);
  • At least 15 years’ experience within an engineering / related field;
  • At least 10 years’ experience in a senior management position of which at least 5 years should be experience in senior management roles for consulting, advisory or related
  • Knowledge-based business in the role of Managing Director, Chief Executive, Operations Director or Executive Director;
  • Experience in dealing with Board responsibilities and functions;
  • Must have private sector background and led a business with a billion/s turnover;
  • A record of sales generation and market development.

  • Well-developed leadership, management, strategy, business development and personal mastery skills;
  • A deep understanding of company finances and repositioning the critical financial drivers, delivering top percentile financial performance;
  • Drive operational performance leading a safe and secure environment;
  • Solution development and capability deployment dealing with complexity;
  • The ability to lead and implement company-wide programmes;
  • Excellent communicator, developing customer-centric solutions whilst building customer relationships;
  • Proven record in the development of people at organisational level;
  • Experience in legal aspects typically associated with private enterprises;
  • Managing and mitigating risks at enterprise level.

Other requirements

  • A strong business network in the public and private sectors;
  • Experience in collaborating with multi-national companies.
