We are seeking a driven and experienced Sales Executive to join our client’s Sandton team, specializing in scanners and packaging equipment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in business development and sales, looking to make an impact within a well-established company. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships by selling products and meeting customer needs.
- Service existing accounts, secure orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing a daily schedule to engage with current or potential sales partners.
- Prepare and submit orders using price lists, product literature, and brochures.
- Identify and resolve customer challenges by implementing creative problem-solving solutions.
- Provide management with regular activity and results reports, including weekly work plans and monthly territory analyses.
- Monitor competition by gathering information on current market trends, pricing, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
- Recommend improvements in products, services, and policies based on market evaluation and competitive insights.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating issues, developing solutions, preparing reports, and providing recommendations to management.
- Stay current with industry knowledge through ongoing education, attending training sessions, reading relevant publications, networking, and participating in professional events.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
- Contribute to the team's overall success by achieving related objectives and goals.
- Conduct training sessions for partners to ensure product relevance and understanding.
- Prepare professional quotations and proposals.
- Plan and schedule strategic country trips when necessary.
Qualifications:
To perform this role successfully, the candidate must possess the following:
Education/Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in outbound business development and/or sales, preferably in office automation or related industries.
Computer/Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- General technical aptitude
Required Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with attention to spelling and grammar
- Good operational computing skills (Microsoft Office, Windows, Internet browsers)
- Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless customer experience
