Responsibilities

  1. Sales Strategy Development and Execution:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue growth across domestic and international markets.
  • Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to closing sales.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the business.
Marketing and Brand Management:
  • Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns to promote the abattoir’s products and services.
  • Develop digital marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, including social media, online advertising, and content creation.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure that marketing efforts align with product offerings and market trends.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market conditions to stay ahead of trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Provide customer service excellence by ensuring the timely resolution of queries, complaints, and requests.
  • Gather customer feedback and insights to improve products and services.
Sales Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare sales forecasts and marketing budgets to guide business decisions.
  • Track and report on sales performance, campaign results, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Analyze market data and consumer trends to identify growth opportunities.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and motivate a team of sales and marketing professionals.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Collaboration with Operations:
  • Work closely with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices.

    • Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in sales and marketing within the FMCG sector in South Africa.
    • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies.
    • Experience managing and leading sales and marketing teams.
    • Strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving market share growth.
    • Experience with key retail channels and distributors in the South African FMCG market.
    • Experience with brand management.
    • Strong understanding of the South African FMCG market dynamics, including consumer behavior and competitive landscape.
    • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
    • Strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal).
