We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Sales Executive to join our client's team in Johannesburg. This role is essential to driving sales within an assigned territory, targeting new opportunities and expanding our presence across key sectors, including education, government, healthcare, as well as private and corporate entities. Key Responsibilities:- Drive new sales growth and opportunities for the business.
- Negotiate contracts with both new and existing clients to secure business.
- Collaborate with key departments to ensure seamless operations and optimal performance.
- Engage directly with customers, identifying their needs and aligning products/services to provide the best solutions.
- Identify and connect with key decision-makers within various organizations.
- Ensure accurate documentation of customer information and transaction details.
- Provide high-quality customer interaction, maintaining prompt response times.
- Identify and develop new market opportunities, staying informed about customers, competitors, and market trends.
- Follow through on all commitments to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Utilize company-approved materials to deliver impactful sales presentations and demonstrations.
- Meet and exceed both individual and team sales targets.
- Execute a high-touch sales approach, managing activities via phone and email to surpass targets.
- Keep detailed records of all sales activities and interactions.
- Work closely with regional sales teams to generate leads for all products and solutions.
- Continuously enhance product knowledge to better serve customers and differentiate the company in the market.
- Understand clients’ technical needs and provide tailored product solutions.
- Communicate technical information in clear, simple terms for non-technical customers.
- Adapt to new technical tools, skills, and software as necessary.
- Support product demonstrations, technical presentations, and discussions to showcase our solutions.
- Use analytical skills to interpret data and support decision-making.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, the following are required:
Education/Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in outbound business development or sales.
- Prior experience in the technology industry is a plus.
Computer/Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of databases and Excel functions.
Required Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with attention to detail.
- Operational computing skills (Microsoft Office, Windows, Internet browsers).
