616 Deputy Director: ICT Infrastructure Service (P6) RESOURCES AND OPERATIONS │ ICT and Computer Services Bloemfontein Campus Main purpose of the job To plan, organize, and manage staff and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of CUT’s ICT infrastructure. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems. The Infrastructure Manager will also schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
Main tasks

1. ICT Infrastructure Strategy & Planning
2. ICT Infrastructure Acquisition & Deployment
3. ICT Infrastructure Operational Management
4. Ensure control & implementation of ICT Security
5. Manage the performance & Development of ICT Infrastructure staff

Nature of appointment : Permanent Support Minimum salary scale (Total Cost to Company): R 1 176 414 per annum (2025 salary scales to be confirmed)

• Relevant Diploma
• 7 years relevant experience of which 5 years should be in managing ICT Network Infrastructure or ICT Enterprise systems
• Evidence of knowledge of Infrastructure design & operational excellence

Desired Qualification, Knowledge and/or Experience

• Relevant Degree/BTech
• 3 Years of successful leadership of an infrastructure team
• 10 years related experience, of which 8 years should be in managing ICT infrastructure services
