Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet and Mechanical Manager to oversee our company's fleet of vehicles and manage the maintenance and repair of our equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of fleet management and maintenance best practices, and proven experience in managing a team of technicians.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's fleet of vehicles, including scheduling, maintenance, and repairs
- Manage a team of technicians responsible for servicing and repairing company vehicles and equipment
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure that all vehicles and equipment are kept in optimal condition
- Monitor and track fleet maintenance costs and develop strategies to reduce expenses while maintaining high levels of performance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing fleet management and maintenance
- Maintain accurate records of all fleet maintenance activities and expenses
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure parts and services as needed
- Develop and implement training programs for technicians to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues and address them proactively
- Work closely with the operations manager to develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce downtime

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, automotive technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of fleet management software and systems
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team of technicians
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Valid driver's license
