ORGANISATION : AGE-IN-ACTION WESTERN CAPE
POSITION : SOCIAL AUXILIARY WORKER
AREA OF OPERATION : 1 X OVERBERG REGION [Based in Cape Town]
POST REQUIREMENTS:
Registered at SACSSP Proof of Registration 2025/2026 Good knowledge of working with Older Persons & Older persons Act. Background in Community Development Minimum of 2 years’ experience Valid unendorsed driver’s license COMPULSARY Language: English, Afrikaans and any other SA language Good admin, computer, communication, interpersonal, report writing and presentation skills. Must be willing to travel in the areas
DUTIES
Render support services to clubs/ service centers and residential facilities To empower older persons through workshops, presentations and events To form new clubs in areas where there are none To share information regarding Age-in-Action’s programs and projects with communities and other stakeholders to mobilize more participation especially for our special projects/days To report cases to their supervisor and offer support to older persons in need of care and protection Assist social worker with case work.
