Key Accountability Areas:
Operations:
- Ensure that efficient and effective start-up, change-over, operations and shutdown procedures are followed.
- Ensure that materials according to packing instruction and table allocations are accounted for and documented for waste and utilization.
- Monitoring the production dashboard accuracy on bins p/h, OEE, downtime and absenteeism.
- Measuring of production tact times, packing per inventory type, strapping, labelling etc.
- Verify that evaluation of scales, label machines and packing tables machinery are monitored to make sure all of them are working correctly.
- Monitoring the wet line application according to variety protocols, including monitoring of production associated checklists.
- Review production and marketing plan requirements and formulate the production plans as inputs for the final packing instructions.
Quality:
- Daily reporting on average fruit weight per PUC and variety, cup fill and line design vs actual.
- Ensuring that rejected pallet sign off sheet is completed and accurate, with production trending.
Compliance:
- Ensuring Health and Safety – ensure team compliance to all Health and Safety policies and procedures and adherence to all signages.
- Supervise and monitor the cleaning during shifts and manage the cleaning of designated areas as required.
- Ensuring pre-audits on the production department are done to align with external audits and minimizing internal NC's.
- Oversee that team is adhering to policies and procedures and that health and safety rules are followed.
Communication and Reporting:
- Ensure good communication on all levels to ensure effective and efficient operations.
- Daily reporting to production and packhouse manager on any deviations or corrective actions required.
- Ensure good communication on all levels to ensure effective and efficient operation.
- Keeping records of run changeover, Conveyor belt checks, shift records, start-up checks, cleaning and other relevant documentation.
- Prepare and participate in meetings related to production planning, quality, compliance, and other relevant topics.
- Present reports and findings to management and other stakeholders during meetings.
