Step into a leadership role as a Visual Merchandising Manager with a leading Retail Brand, where you'll shape the customer experience across both high street and outlet stores nationwide. This position focuses on optimising the presentation of merchandise, executing impactful visual strategies, and driving sales through strategic space management and creative execution. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams while leading and developing a high-performing Virtual Merchandising team, ensuring the brand is always represented at its best
Minimum Requirements:
Diploma in Interior Décor, Retail, Fashion, or Design
Own realiable vehicle and valid drivers licence
Minimum 5 years of retail experience in a Visual Merchandising role
Proficient in design software such as SketchUp and Photoshop
Valid driver's license and own reliable transport
Willingness to travel nationally as required
Ability to interpret briefs and translate them into actionable VM concepts
Strong creative problem-solving skills and a keen eye for design detail
Solid understanding of merchandising policies and retail operations
Strong administrative and product knowledge
Confident communicator with team leadership abilities
Self-starter and collaborative team player
Duties and Responsibilities:
Investigate trends and best practices in visual merchandising to keep strategies current
Identify opportunities to improve store appeal and maximise trade potential
Ensure merchandise is displayed in line with brand guidelines and customer demographics
Develop merchandise strategies that drive ROI from trading space
Create and maintain merchandising tools, checklists, and guides for store teams
Liaise with buyers and directors to align product displays with market needs
Support new store openings with promotional displays to drive customer engagement
Balance analytical thinking and visual skills to improve sales
Ensure stock levels support sales targets through effective planning
Oversee execution of signage, graphics, and visual elements in-store
Create floor plans and layouts to optimise customer flow and product visibility
Ensure departmental placements maximise sales opportunities
Conduct store visits to monitor compliance with pricing, markdowns, and presentation
Reduce markdowns through proactive and timely merchandising execution
Lead and manage the Visual Merchandising team, including performance development
Deliver training on customer service, selling skills, and VM standards
Regularly visit stores to ensure training compliance and staff readiness
Analyse store product performance and implement turnaround strategies
Collaborate with Buyers/Planners to drive profitability across core and seasonal ranges
Build effective communication channels to ensure alignment across business areas
Recruit and onboard VM staff, ensuring proper induction and role alignment
Identify and implement training interventions to boost stock service and store performance
