Our client is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Executive Chef to lead the culinary team at their exclusive 5-star game lodge. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operation, creating innovative menus, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. You will work closely with the lodge management to provide an exceptional dining experience for their guests while maintaining an efficient and organized kitchen environment. The Executive Chef will also manage inventory, food safety standards, and staff training. Key Responsibilities:- Lead, mentor, and motivate the kitchen team to deliver outstanding dining experiences.
- Develop creative, seasonal menus that reflect the lodge’s premium standards and guest preferences.
- Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and safety.
- Monitor and manage kitchen budgets, inventory, and food costs.
- Collaborate with management to create special dining experiences, events, and promotions.
- Train and develop staff, ensuring they uphold service and food quality standards.
- Ensure consistency in food preparation, presentation, and quality control.
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role in a luxury or high-end hospitality setting.
- Exceptional culinary skills and a passion for fine dining.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management, food safety standards, and inventory control.
- Experience in developing and costing menus that balance quality and profitability.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
- Experience working in a lodge, resort, or similar setting is an advantage.
- A keen understanding of guest service and commitment to delivering outstanding experiences.
