The company has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager to join the team. The incumbent will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for the development and implementation of the sales and marketing strategies of the international group of companies.
Responsibilities:
Develop strategic sales and marketing strategies Achieve and exceed annual sales targets while adhering to the sales budgets and forecasts Continuously research, monitor and analyse market trends, identifying new growth opportunities and monitoring competitor activity Ensure a thorough understanding of customer needs and translate them into tailored solutions resulting in high client retention Retain and grow existing client base and expand relationships in key markets Prepare and deliver timely sales reports providing actionable insights and accurate forecasts for senior management Develop and implement social media marketing campaign Develop and implement brand awareness, marketing campaigns and strategiesRequirements:
At least 5 years’ proven sales experience in a relevant industry sector and knowledge and understanding of industry trends (dietary supplements, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, veterinary, feed, botanical extracts) Relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing or Business Management Experience in B2B and international trade Knowledge and experience in ingredients, additives, natural products or botanicals and an understanding of the value chain for ingredients and additives Familiarity with sustainability practices, ethical sourcing, and product certifications (organic, fair trade or other quality certifications) Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills High levels of emotional intelligence with the ability to build lasting relationships Strategic mindset with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities Language proficiency (Afrikaans & English) Proficient in sales reporting, administration and relevant software tools A market-related remuneration package, in accordance with qualifications and experience, will be agreed upon with the successful candidate.
