Description:
ROLE PURPOSEThe shift supervisor is responsible for ensuring that enough staff members are present for the shift and that all cleaning operations are carried out safely and on time
MAIN OUTPUTS
- Accomplishes shift objectives by supervising staff and organizing and monitoring work processes.
- Assign staff members to shifts.
- Implements and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
- Monitors the use and replenishment of chemicals and consumables on site
- Enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
- Completes operations by developing schedules, assigning and monitoring work, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving operations problems, and implementing new procedures.
- Controls expenses by, monitoring variances, and implementing corrective actions.
- Provides quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Conduct trainings to new hires when required.
- Review team performances and provide feedback for improvements
- Ensure adequate staff placement, time & attendance as well as replacements
- Monitor adherence to work schedules
- Manage availability and condition of site equipment
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS The Applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Formal qualification
- Matric (Senior Certificate)
- Valid SA Driver’s License
- 3yrs relevant experience in production
- People Management
- MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Project & MS Outlook (Intermediate skill level)
- OHS Act, ISO 9001 Quality Management & Risk Management Systems
