Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Costing Clerk / Store Controller to join our team in George. This role requires a strong understanding of costing, inventory control, and store management to ensure accurate pricing, stock levels, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping, stock management, and supplier coordination, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities: Costing Duties:
Accurately calculate and update product costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
Monitor and analyze cost variances, identifying areas for cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare cost reports and provide insights to management for decision-making.
Maintain accurate costing records and documentation.
Store Control Duties:
Oversee stock levels, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and organization of inventory.
Conduct regular stock takes and reconcile discrepancies.
Manage stock replenishment by monitoring usage patterns and placing orders as needed.
Ensure all inventory transactions are accurately recorded in the system.
Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and best pricing.
Implement and uphold stock control policies and procedures to minimize loss and wastage.
Requirements:
Computer Literacy: Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
