Description:
Manage project bookkeeping, including cashbook processing and journals
Oversee bank reconciliations, expense claims, and compliance with funder requirements
Ensure timely submission of financial reports and statutory filings
Support program directors and departments with financial planning and management
Review and authorize electronic payments and transfers
Maintain an accurate fixed asset register and oversee financial records
Monitor the trial balance and ensure sound financial management
Ensure VAT accuracy and compliance with internal, external, and statutory audits
Manage cash flow, loan accounts, and inter-account transfers
Prepare and submit expense claims and financial reports to funders on time
Provide financial insights to senior management, the board, and key stakeholders
Reconcile financial reports with the accounting system for accuracy
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Communicate strategic plans and delegate responsibilities within the team
Conduct performance reviews and support team growth and development
Skills & Experience:
A minimum of 3 years experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, and management or an equivalent qualification
At least 2 years of post-articles experience
Proficiency in financial accounting systems such as SAP
Experience with PEPFAR audits is highly advantageous
Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling
Strong report writing and financial analysis skills
Qualification:
Registered CA(SA)
