With a strong focus on equipment outsourcing and after-sales service, we proudly serve both local and international markets.Position Summary:We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Export Sales Engineer to join our Package Boiler Business Unit based in Bellville. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager â Export, the ideal candidate will thrive under pressure, possess strong technical and commercial acumen, and be motivated to close deals and meet sales targets. This role is essential to driving new boiler orders and supporting the business unitâs overall growth and profitability. Minimum Qualifications and Experience:- Bachelorâs or Masterâs Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the industrial sector
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
- Solid background in B2B technical or commercial sales
- Familiarity with capital-intensive project sales and investment processes
- Experience with cross-border projects
- Experience in consulting, design, and project coordination
- Experience interacting with a diverse range of industries including mining, agriculture & SOCâs
- Exposure to marketing and CRM systems
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers
- Identify and develop new markets and industries
- Plan and participate in marketing and sales initiatives
- Analyse customer specifications and commercial requirements
- Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals
- Collaborate with internal departments across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and services
- Issue purchase enquiries, prepare cost estimates, and evaluate offers
- Lead negotiations, close sales, and hand over secured orders to the Contracts Department
- Track industry trends to support strategic planning
- Target-driven with a strong customer service orientation
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to engage confidently with senior-level stakeholders
- Technically minded with an eagerness to learn and master new products
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Willing and able to travel frequently, both locally and across Africa
