General Foreman – Residential & Commercial Construction (Northern Suburbs, Cape Town) A well-established construction company is seeking a General Foreman to oversee residential and commercial building projects in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town . The successful candidate will report to the Site Agent and Contracts Manager and will be responsible for managing subcontractors and labor on-site .Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily site operations to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
- Supervise subcontractors and site labor, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Liaise with the Site Agent and Contracts Manager to report progress and address any site challenges.
- Ensure materials and equipment are available and used efficiently.
- Conduct site inspections to maintain quality control and adherence to project plans.
- Enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a General Foreman in residential and commercial construction .
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction.
- Valid driver’s license and own transport (preferred).
