Description:
Purpose: The purpose of this job is to ensure the smooth operation of the department through ensuring that services provided are prompt, friendly, reliable and assisting customers at the help desk, resulting in customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth operations of the department
- Manage cashiers, lunch & tea breaks at the front end
- Provide full training for cashiers
- Process EFT payments
- Make sure that the CGS – bank guarantee service is valid, and make necessary changes when required
- Issuing of gift card, check customers reward cards and cash in points
- Processing of Refunds/credits
- Direct customer to the next available till, ensuring efficient process
- Implement and enforce all cashier policies
- Manage daily register and time and attendance
- Submission of weekly and monthly reports to supervisor
- Relieve cashier when required
- Check status for catching up – shorts and overs
- Participate in partial stock takes
- Housekeeping of work area
- Any work related task as delegated by supervisor
Requirements:
- Matric or x3 Completed Intercept courses equating to total of 120 credits
- Brights Induction (Service Excellence)
- 3 years cashier experience
- 2 years as Till Supervisor
- Ability to do cash-ups
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to communicate well with all staff and customers
- High attention to detail
- Ability to handle pressure
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written)
