Splicer

Description:

• • Replace skirtings.
  • Replace v-belts and drive pulleys.
  • Install and maintain belt scrapers.
  • Replace impact beds.
  • Replace conveyors belts and perform Belt splices- hot splice, cold splice, super screw, Belt clips.
  • Patch and repair belts with repair strips, and super screw.
  • Perform routine belt maintenance- replace bearings, replace gearboxes, replace rollers, replace tail and head pulleys.
  • Replace lagging on pulleys.
  • Do daily inspections on conveyor belts (Ensure belt in good condition and legally compliant).
  • Replace screen panels and screen decks.
  • Write Job cards on All jobs done.
  • Perform Monthly services on Conveyor gearboxes.
  • Maintain dust suppression system on conveyor belts.

• • Minimum Grade 12.
  • 5 years relevant experience as a Splicer.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule under diverse conditions and according to sometimes stringent time schedules.
  • Basic communication skills (written and oral).
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Problem Solving Skills.
