Description:

Our client, a leading provider of marine services specializing in vessel support and logistics, is looking for a Service Coordinator to join their team in Durban, KZN. The role involves coordinating customer services and ensuring the smooth operation of the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Open vessel files for confirmed orders following company procedures.

  • Correspond with clients regarding ongoing services and provide progress updates.

  • Compile documentation and complete service reports.

  • Contact local shipping agents daily for updates on vessel arrivals and departures.

  • Assist with additional tasks as instructed by the Operations Manager.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 certificate.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple service requests efficiently.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

  • Willingness to work after hours and weekends if needed.

  • Own reliable transportation.

  • Experience in maritime logistics is an advantage.

  • Ability to liaise professionally with clients, shipping agents, and internal teams.

  • Variable working hours due to the nature of marine operations, including overtime, weekends, and public holidays.
