Description:
Purpose of position:To provide an informative, professional and friendly link between workshop and customer by ensuring that feedback on vehicle is in detail and correct
Servicing/Repairing of vehicles done correctly first time
Health & Safety requirements followed
Admin on job cards done according to the company & OEM audit requirements
Maintain BSI system
Achieve a CSI result within the Ford SA National average or above
Key performance areas:
Servicing/Repairing of vehicles
Request parts for work to be done on vehicle
Admin on the job card (Clocking/Write up/Repair procedures/Service schedules etc.)
Fix vehicles First Time Right
Follow all Health & Safety requirements
Communicate with Workshop Controller during the day to give feedback on progress of vehicles
Update and maintain the computer system at all times
Duties and Responsibilities:
You need to complete the Service schedule
Complete the vehicle sign into your name
Service, replace oil, oil filter and SPW, checked all brakes all ok you must supply the front and rear brake measurements, adjusted handbrake, check all lights all ok, inspected tyres and supply the tyre measurements
Report any issues on the vehicle
Sign off job cards
Diagnose the vehicle to find the fault
Provide workshop controller with feedback on the vehicle
Technical responsibilities:
Ensure that you diagnose and repair the vehicle first time correctly
Communicate to your master technician or foreman for advise and support, if necessary
Inspect the vehicle before starting to work on the vehicle
All replaced parts must be placed back in customer vehicle
All warranty parts to be signed over to warranty clerk
Ensure that you have the necessary tools
Health & Safety requirements:
Inspect your Hoist daily to ensure it is in safe working condition Ensure your bay is clean and tidy at all times
Carry out overtime when required
Ensure that the workshop is clean and tidy at all times
