Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory of industrial supplies, including fasteners, personal protective equipment (PPE), abrasives, CNC tools, and other specialized products .

The Buyer will work closely with suppliers, internal sales teams, and warehouse staff to ensure optimal stock levels, cost efficiency, and high-quality product availability.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Supplier Management:

  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing, terms, and quality.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply chains.
  • Source new products and suppliers to expand and improve the company’s offerings.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to quality, pricing, and delivery.

Inventory & Cost Management:

  • Maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer demand without overstocking.
  • Analyze sales trends and coordinate with the sales team to forecast demand.
  • Monitor purchase costs and seek opportunities for cost savings.
  • Ensure purchases align with company budget and profitability targets.

Order Processing & Logistics:

  • Generate purchase orders and track orders from placement to delivery.
  • Work with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
  • Address and resolve any discrepancies in orders, invoices, or deliveries.

Compliance & Quality Control:

  • Ensure all purchased products meet company and industry standards.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements, especially for PPE and specialized tools

  • Buyouts: 2 to 3 years
  • Experience: 3+ years in procurement, buying, or supply chain management, preferably in the industrial supplies sector.
  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, forecast demand, and manage inventory effectively.
  • Knowledge of industrial products such as fasteners, PPE, abrasives, CNC tooling, etc is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with Palladium Accounting will be an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: 3+ years in procurement, buying, or supply chain management, preferably in the industrial supplies sector.
  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, or a related field (preferred).
