Description:

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Internal Sales Representative to join our team.

This role involves handling customer inquiries, processing orders, providing quotations, and supporting the external sales team in delivering exceptional service.

The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial supplies such as fasteners, personal protective equipment (PPE), abrasives, specialized CNC tools and etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Service:

  • Engage with customers via phone, email, and in-person to understand their needs and recommend suitable products .
  • Provide accurate and timely quotations based on customer requirements.
  • Process sales orders and coordinate with the procurement and warehouse teams to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Assist customers with technical product information, availability, and pricing inquiries .
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling .

Order & Inventory Management:

  • Work closely with the warehouse and purchasing teams to monitor stock levels and ensure product availability.
  • Keep customers informed about order statuses, delivery timelines, and backorders .
  • Handle returns, credits, and order discrepancies professionally and efficiently.

Sales Support & Reporting:

  • Collaborate with external sales representatives to generate leads and support business growth.
  • Maintain and update customer records in the CRM or ERP system .
  • Prepare sales reports and participate in sales meetings to discuss targets and strategies.

  • Experience: 2+ years in internal sales, customer service, or sales administration , preferably in the industrial supplies sector .
  • Education: Matric required; a diploma in Business, Sales, or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial products like fasteners, PPE, abrasives, and CNC tools is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills .
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and experience with ERP/CRM systems .
  • Goal-driven and able to work independently as well as in a team .

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: 2+ years in internal sales, customer service, or sales administration , preferably in the industrial supplies sector .
  • Education: Matric required; a diploma in Business, Sales, or a related field is a plus.
