Description:
The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in finance, with specific experience working within the non-profit sector. They will have demonstrated expertise in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. They will also have experience managing a team and providing leadership in financial strategy development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures in line with best practices and organizational goals
- Manage and oversee all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements and reports
- Manage cash flow, investment activities, and financial risk management
- Supervise and develop a team of finance professionals
- Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and the board of directors
- Liaise with auditors, investment managers, and other external stakeholders
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA or CFA certification preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance, with specific experience in the non-profit sector
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and standards
- Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Experience with financial software and systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
