Hire Resolve's Client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Resident Engineer specializing in roadworks to join a site team in Durban. This role involves overseeing a multidisciplinary national road upgrade project, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the Contract Engineer’s Representative on-site, managing day-to-day operations and ensuring project compliance.

Oversee the site team, conducting inspections, monitoring progress, and mitigating risks.

Manage contractors and subcontractors, ensuring work aligns with project timelines and budgets.
-
Implement and maintain quality management systems and approved quantities verification processes.
-
Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications for accurate execution.
-
Prepare and submit progress reports, quality control documentation, and site records.
Requirements:
-
ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer or Professional Technologist (Mandatory).
-
Professional registration with SACPCMP as a PrCPM (Advantageous).
-
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in road reconstruction/rehabilitation projects.
-
Proven experience in large multidisciplinary SANRAL or municipal road projects.
-
In-depth knowledge of SANRAL design compliance standards.
-
Strong expertise in COLTO/COTO specifications and Bill of Quantities.
-
Solid understanding of pavement rehabilitation, bridge and drainage system construction, traffic accommodation, and ancillary works on national roads.
-
Experience with continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP) is an advantage.

Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
-
A valid driver’s license is essential.
