Purpose:
Directly oversee Shift Leaders, Store Staff, Clerks, and the Tooling Department, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to maintenance protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Shift Leaders, Store Staff, Clerks, and Tooling operations. Manage equipment, tooling, and utilities for optimal performance. Compile weekly reports on top downtime, corrective actions, and KPIs (including PM adherence). Attend daily Operations meetings, providing updates on equipment status and necessary actions. Participate in daily Scrap/Quality meetings, setting actions to minimize scrap rates. Work closely with Planning to integrate the Preventative Maintenance (PM) plan into the production schedule. Prepare monthly departmental KPI reports, incorporating ICA/PCA actions. Liaise with suppliers and contractors to execute planned projects, maintenance, and repairs. Obtain quotes based on Statements of Work (SOW) and raise Purchase Order Requests (PORs) within One BPM. Track expenses and manage the monthly budget effectively. Lead recruitment processes, including interviews, and provide training on company procedures to new hires. Manage the budget for spares and consumables. Champion Continuous Improvement (CI) activities such as energy savings and Kaizen initiatives. Stand in as the second-in-command (2IC) to the Technical Manager.Requirements:
N5 Engineering Diploma or equivalent (Engineering Degree is an advantage). At least 8-10 years of experience in Automotive Maintenance or a similar environment. Supervisory experience is an added advantage. Strong experience in Maintenance/Engineering practices. Computer literacy is essential. Fast learner, with the ability to work independently.
