Job Responsibilities and Job Description:Required training and qualifications: Level 2 SAIW inspector and valid drivers license. Experience in column fabrication or similar pressure vessels will be advantageous Become familiar and understand the Clients QA system. Enforce and assure compliance to the QA System as well as controlling system modifications and improvements. Oversee fabrication including fit ups, root runs & final welding Be responsible for material control system (inspection of material, Material certification EN10204, traceability). Understand and enforce compliance to client requirements and specifications. Understand and enforce manufacturing code requirements, e.g. impact testing, service restrictions Understand and enforce Welding Procedure specifications (code compliance of WPS, code requirements e.g. qualification of welders, essential variables, approve sub-contracted welding & NDT maps, welding traceability) Be responsible for the control of inspection equipment (e.g. pressure gauges, other measuring equipment) Assist AIA with certification of pressure vessels Be responsible for compiling and approving QCPs, inspection reports and non-conformance reports. Perform inspections & sign off QCP inspection points at sub-contracted suppliers. Be responsible for data books (e.g. completeness, approval by all parties, submission to relevant parties and recordkeeping) Investigate and find root causes of mistakes, propose solutions and preventative actions. Prevent mistakes and misunderstandings with pro-active intervention.
