A leading 5-star luxury lodge/hotel is seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef de Partie to join their culinary team. This role is perfect for a passionate pastry professional who takes pride in producing refined, high-end desserts and baked goods that match the standards of a world-class kitchen.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present high-quality pastry items including plated desserts, breads, tarts, cakes, and pastries
- Support the Head Pastry Chef and Executive Chef with menu development and seasonal specials
- Maintain consistency, creativity, and high presentation standards in all pastry offerings
- Ensure cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Monitor and control stock, ordering, and wastage within the pastry section
- Supervise and mentor junior pastry staff and trainees when required
- Work collaboratively with the broader kitchen team to ensure smooth service
Requirements
- Culinary or pastry qualification from a recognised institution
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a 5-star lodge or fine dining environment
- Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary pastry techniques
- High attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for presentation
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced kitchen
- Flexible and willing to work split shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen-friendly baking is an advantage
