We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Project Manager to join our team and lead key engineering projects with a focus on defense.- As a Senior Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex engineering projects in the defense sector. You will manage project teams, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and ensure that all projects meet technical, financial, and time-related objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defense engineering, project management, and leadership, with a passion for delivering solutions that contribute to national security.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring they meet scope, quality, and timeline requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Oversee cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and testing teams.
- Work closely with senior management and stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, and deliverables.
- Manage project risks and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project life-cycle.
- Ensure compliance with defense industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
- Prepare and present regular project status updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Lead project team meetings and ensure clear communication between team members, customers, and external partners.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices across projects.
Required Qualifications and Skills:- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the defense industry.
- Proven experience managing large-scale defense engineering projects.
- In-depth knowledge of defense industry regulations, compliance, and safety standards.
- Strong technical background with a deep understanding of engineering principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Experience with budget management, resource allocation, and risk management.
