Why do we need you?
Assess the market growth drivers in the destination regions and align the key account plans to capitalize on the growth opportunities in order to achieve revenue and gross profit targets through the key accounts.
Assess opportunities for and drive new product introductions for the Group in order to meet customer requirements and to achieve revenue and gross profit targets.
To identify business growth/ promotion platforms such as store activations, trade shows and liaising with the respective internal stakeholders to enhance brand visibility and tapping on such opportunities.
Analyse current business approach and RTM in order to highlight key account RTM misalignment to market requirements and recommend avenues for improvement.
To run customer store personnel upskilling programmes to improve articulation of company solutions and ensure that the company offer stands out on the market.
To list all relevant company products with all key accounts including NPDs, garner company technical support on projects (for accounts with projects departments) and manage performance thereof to ensure performance across the range and attain required relevant mix ratios.
To represent the exports business interests/ provide input during trading term negotiations to ensure alignment and compliance to trading term guidelines.
To drive compilation of annual price masters and price change communication as well as ongoing price changes in response market changes to ensure that price increases are implemented timely.
Requirements:
Is this job for you?The best suited candidate for this role should have a min of 5 years of experience in a similar role, the most important topics that need focus are experience in developing, planning and implementing account plans, commercial awareness and a broader understanding of macro-economic drivers. It is important that the candidate has a strong knowledge of stakeholder management and networking, exports markets and Incoterms and to demonstrate selling new concepts and products in a successful manner. In addition, proven experience of implementing change with positive impact to the business is ideal. The candidate must possess a degree in Commerce, Sales or Marketing or a relevant field.

As a Key Accounts Manager, it is important to remember that the primary purpose is to develop and implement the account plans for the specified key accounts which should include sales, service and relationship objectives to deliver growth for both the customer and company through the engagement of both internal and external stakeholders in the exports region and within the company. In addition, the purpose of the role is to execute defined commercial strategy and deliver top line sales revenue to maximise SA consolidating customer accounts performance, in line with company objectives and strategy in congruency with destination market dynamics and strategy. The candidate will be working as part of an integrated Exports Southern Africa team to drive product propositioning from the manufacturing plants to facilitate demand generation and customer satisfaction.
