Feed Team Leader
Area; Bloemfontein
Salary; R8000 - R10 000 p/m
Junior Position - Training will be provided
Minimum Requirements
· National Senior Certificate or equivalent to NQF 4.
· 1 year of supervisory experience.
· 3 years of experience in the feed mill industry.
· Valid Forklift License.
· Knowledge of feed mill machinery and equipment will be advantageous.

General Functions:
- Supervisory responsibilities:
- Supervise the team to develop and maintain positive working relationships and achieve objectives.
- Assist with the development of staff performance to drive employee productivity.
- Skills Development: Ensure self-development according to business and departmental needs.
- Health and Safety:
- Accountable for maintaining a clean, uncluttered, and hazardous-free work area, ensuring emergency exits are not obstructed.
- Ensure personal hygiene standards are maintained and take reasonable care for your health and safety and the health and safety of colleagues.
- Ensure staff participate and comply with OHS activities and procedures and report any unsafe actions and conditions to the HSE Department.
- Report safety-related hazards and risks to the HSE department.
- Ensure all permits are completed for high-risk operations.
- Quality Food Safety:
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures by employees within the area.
- Equipment/Machinery and work area shall be kept clean from residues and dirt that may be a source of contamination.
- Ensure adherence to waste disposal practices within the area.
- Apply good practices regarding safety to avoid creating an environment that attracts pests/infestation.
- Ensure compliance with the policies and procedures for product recall.
- Brand Management: Project the desired brand image to the public, customers, and other organizational constituents.
- General:
- Perform any other tasks not specified, as assigned by the line manager.
- Work closely with other staff within the department and support colleagues as needed/required.
