A dynamic and fast-growing company in the chemical distribution sector is seeking a Financial Controller to join their team on a permanent basis . In this role, you will manage financial reporting, tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls, ensuring financial accuracy and supporting the company’s growth.

Duties:

• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory requirements.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Coordinate with auditors and support the audit process.
• Lead the monthly and year-end closing processes and financial reporting.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
• Support tax planning and reporting for the company’s entities.

Qualifications & skills:

• A BCom degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Completed articles and a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in financial management.
• Strong experience with tax compliance, including VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory obligations.
