Description:
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:Grade 12 with motor trade test Candidate must be resident in or close to East London Must have experience with : - vehicle diagnosing; fault finding; suspension work; brake repairs; maintenance/servicing; electrical wiring; engine rebuilds The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:
Diagnosis and Repair:
Identify and diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and experience. Repair or replace faulty parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and other components. Perform scheduled maintenance services like oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups. Test and adjust repaired mechanical parts to ensure proper performance.Maintenance and Inspections:
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety standards. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing fluids, rotating tires, and checking brake systems. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.Customer Interaction:
Communicate with customers to explain vehicle problems and repair procedures. Provide estimates for repairs and explain the cost of parts and labor. Answer customer questions and address concerns.Other Duties:
Install and fit new vehicle accessories. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Keep up to date with the latest industry technologies and maintenance practices. Work with high voltage batteries if working on hybrid or electric vehicles Salary: Market related
