Description:
The Project Planner (Mechanical) will be responsible for the effective planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical engineering projects. This role will involve ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Planner will act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing strategic guidance and support to the engineering team to ensure project objectives are met.-Resource Management: Efficiently allocate and manage finite resources, materials, and funds to ensure projects are executed within budget and adhere to quality standards.
Project Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive project status reports, covering technical, schedule, risk, and financial aspects.
-Project Administration: Collate and disseminate project information, execute administrative tasks (e.g., work orders, purchase requests, BOMs, PPSs), coordinate shipments, and maintain project schedules.
-Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular feedback to line and project managers regarding project progress, challenges, and opportunities.
-Contract Management: Interact with subcontractors, manage contracts, ensure compliance with procurement documents, and oversee quality assurance, configuration management, and regulatory compliance for all importations and exportations.
-Risk Management: Proactively identify risks, develop contingency plans, and escalate risks beyond the project team's control.
-Project Ownership: Take full responsibility for the planning and execution of assigned projects.
-Project Tracking: Create and maintain tracking spreadsheets, monitor project activities, and expedite manufacturing processes.
Education:
N6 or equivalent tertiary qualification in Engineering or Aerospace Technology. Aircraft related trade is essential.
Experience:
-At least 5-10 years of hands-on experience in the aviation or aerospace industry.
-A minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning and coordination.
