Description:
Our client is looking to recruit a permanent Applications Portfolio Manager, within the Merchandise and Supply Chain area, which forms part of the IT department based at our Head Office in Woodstock, Cape Town.
Job Purpose:
Ensure that business strategy is enabled, shaped and supported through the delivery of robust, cost conscious and architecturally sound IT solutions; whilst delivering best-in customer experience and service.
Purpose and Objectives
• Ensure and drive alignment and delivery of IT enablement projects
• Contributing to the IT strategic roadmap
• Ensure service and support SLA’s are met for line of business
• Assume accountability for accuracy of cradle-to-grave data flows for all processes
• Manage financials within budget (Opex and Capex)
• Create conducive delivery environment for high performing team
• Pro-actively manage key business stakeholders
• Effective engagement with senior managers both in IT and respective business areas
Minimum requirements

• Retail experience
• Merchandise and Supply Chain systems
• IT systems and solutions experience
• Extensive experience dealing with 3rd party services
• DevOps experience
• IT Application delivery experience
• SOA experience
• ITIL knowledge
• Financial ability
• Project delivery / Management experience
• Presentation experience
• Policy and procedure crafting - Negotiation and prioritisation experience
• Working with senior stakeholders and colleagues
Job experience
• 6-8 years IT management experience
• 3-5 years retail experience
Education
• BCom or 3yr IT Diploma
• PMBOK or Prince 2 - Desirable
• On-going management training - Desirable
